San Antonio Women Who Submit
Women Who Submit is a nonprofit, world-wide organization with a mission to support and uplift women and non-binary writers as they pursue their publication dreams. I, along with Viktoria V., co-chair the WWS chapter. See our Facebook page or vist the WWS website for more information.
Gemini Ink
Gemini Ink is San Antonio's premier writing arts center, supporting, educating, and uplifting writers for over 50 years! I am proud to be a teaching artist, working with 5th graders in the NEISD. I also lead adult classes through their community ed programs. Most classes are offered online and inperson.
Amherst Writers & Artists
In 2013, I became an AWA workshop facilitator, certified to lead creative writing workshops as outlined by Pat Schneider in her book Writing Alone and With Others. (A great resource, by the way!) Although I don't lead weekly workshop sessions anymore, I use the methods in my teaching and coaching. If you have not experienced an AWA workshop, I suggest you do! Most facilitators now hold sessions online and you can discover them here.
Community Education
Throughout the year, I lead workshops in creative writing at the NISD Learning Center. Courses vary, ranging from beginning skills to advanced. For updates on my current offerings, sign up for the newsletter.
